What exactly does PISC do?
PISC (Pioneering & Innovation Studies Center) is a regional advisory house that specializes in building resilient organizations through Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Business Process Management (BPM), and strategic transformation. We focus on helping institutions move from operational confusion to a state of transparency and structural integrity.
Who are your programs designed for?
Our programs are designed for mid-career professionals, business owners, and decision-makers including internal auditors, risk managers, compliance officers, founders scaling their businesses, family business successors, and anyone in governance or strategic roles looking to move from reactive firefighting to proactive control.
What makes PISC different from other GRC training providers?
We don’t sell you theory you can’t implement. Our approach focuses on capability transfer, not dependency creation. You’ll build actual tools like risk registers, decision-rights matrices, and compliance frameworks during the program, not just learn about them. We work with your reality, not against it.
Who is your typical client?
We serve a diverse range of sectors across Egypt and the Arab world, including government bodies, corporates, family businesses, and NGOs. Our expertise is particularly valuable for organizations facing authority confusion or those preparing for major transitions like IPOs or digital ERP deployments.
What is the "House of Clarity"?
It is our brand essence and promise. We believe that most institutional failures stem from a lack of clarity in roles, systems, and communication. We exist to uncover hidden patterns and align people with purpose until institutional brilliance shines through.
Do you offer generic templates for SOPs or GRC frameworks?
No. We reject one-size-fits-all models because they ignore the unique cultural and regulatory context of your organization. Every SOP, policy, and risk register we deliver is designed from scratch through a co-creation process with your team.
Can you help us comply with new regional regulations?
Yes. We specialize in translating complex legal mandates, such as Egypt’s Labor Law No. 14 of 2025 or IFRS sustainability disclosures, into practical, auditable internal systems.
What frameworks do you use?
We leverage globally recognized standards but adapt them to local realities. This includes ISO 37000 (Governance), ISO 31000 (Risk), COBIT (IT Governance), and Lean/Kaizen for process improvement.
What is "Field Shadowing," and why is it necessary?
This is a critical part of our diagnostic phase. We spend time in your departments, observing undocumented workflows and identifying informal "workarounds". This allows us to uncover the actual gaps that a standard interview might miss.
How long does a typical project take?
Project duration depends on the scope. A light engagement focused on quick wins might take 2-3 weeks, while a full GRC transformation for a large entity can take 3-5 months.
How do you estimate the cost of your services?
We use a transparent Manday Model based on the number of departments, the average number of processes per unit, and an effort factor determined by your organization’s readiness. This ensures you have cost clarity before we start.
Is GRC only for large corporations?
That is a common myth. GRC is scalable and essential for SMEs, family businesses, and NGOs to prevent role confusion and ensure long-term resilience.
Do you work remotely or onsite?
We use a hybrid approach. We go onsite for high-context activities like field shadowing and frontline staff interviews, while drafting, revising, and strategy sessions are often handled through secure remote collaboration.
What happens after the project is delivered?
Our goal is to transfer capability, not create dependency. Every project includes a built-in training component to ensure your internal team owns the system and can sustain impact long after we leave.
What industries do you work with?
We work across banking and finance, fintech, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, family business conglomerates, government and state-owned enterprises, professional services, and any organization that needs structured governance and risk management.
Are your programs only for people in Egypt and the GCC?
While our programs are specifically designed with Egypt and GCC contexts in mind (addressing regional governance challenges, family business dynamics, and regulatory environments), the frameworks we teach are globally recognized and applicable anywhere.
